Lumen Christi students Josh Dumont and Zach Jaakkola shine as they wrap up their MDHL season. The Michigan Development Hockey League, also known as the MDHL, is a premier hockey league for high schoolers in Michigan looking to improve and develop their game.

 

Josh had a great season, scoring 8 goals in 12 games. Zach had 86 saves in the span of 12 games, letting up only 9 goals. He had a .905 save percentage, averaging only 1 goal in every 10 shots. In the championship game, team Green fought hard and won the game against team Black 6-4. Team Green finished off their MDHL season 10-2 accompanied with a championship trophy!

 

Now that their MDHL season is over, they still have more work to do. As they head into another season, but this time with our Lumen Christi Titans. In his first Lumen game, Zach has already earned his first shutout. The Titans are now 1-0 after mercying Kalamazoo United 9-0.
