After dealing with a rough season last year, the boys soccer team is off to a great start to their season. As of Sept. 14, They are now 4-2-2 and counting! 

  Senior captain Jesus Tavera has been outstanding so far leading the team in goals scoring 11 goals and also having 6 assists. “Mentality, team chemistry, and off-season work”  Jesus said when asked about what has led to this great start. Jesus also added what it means to be a captain, To be a captain is to be a leader, a mentor, to be able to set examples for others.” Another player that has stood out is sophomore Alejandro Caal, scoring 5 goals and adding 4 assists.

When asked about what his goal is not just for himself but also as a team Jesus said “To have a winning season.” Alejandro Caal also added “ To improve as a team, to get better every year.”  The boys soccer team will continue their season with high heads and great goals in mind.
