Lady Titans win conferences at Marshall Invite

The Lady Titans golf gets good momentum heading into regionals and states.

The fall season is golf season for our Lady Titans. Beginning in mid-August and going through early October, the season goes by pretty quickly. Although this year’s team is quite young, with only one senior, the show has gone on. So far, the golf team is ranked first overall in the Interstate 8 Conference. The girls have worked very hard and placed at least top three in most tournaments and first in many.
On Monday, Sept 27, the LC girls golf team took first place at the Marshall Invitational, giving them the conference title. Ashley Hilderley,11, finished with a 80. Caroline Hilderely, 12, finished with an 88. Anna McClure, 11, finished with a 91. And Alexa Spencer, 11, finished with a 92. As a team, they finished with a 351.  The girls got first out of 5 teams at Marshall. And along with that we had four girls get all-conference and another get honorable mention. That was a great day for the Lady Titans.
The team got to celebrate their win together with a plaque. Engraved on the plaque was “1st Place” in big, cursive letters. This was a fun win for the Lady Titans and sparked some momentum going into States in early October.
The girls varsity golf team is getting ready to play in regionals next Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Cascades. They hope to win regionals and attend states the following week.
