It is time once again for another scary story. This time, you may want to cuddle up with a blanket and hold a friend close. Someone we all know very well experienced a very big scare – Mr. Sean Brogan.

Mr. Brogan was asked about his famous story and shared something unexplainable. At the time, he was still teaching in what is now Herr Cole’s classroom. He was leaving for his free period and locked his door on the way out. However, when he came back, the door was still locked, but his room was not the way he had left it. There was a prayer card lodged between the keys of his laptop. How it got there is a mystery, and one he has never solved. He hung it up on his bulletin board with a pushpin and did not say the prayer. He thought the story ended there.

Mr. Brogan continued on as normal for the next few weeks until something strange happened in class one day. He was teaching at his podium, as usual, when some students noticed the card spinning in circles—there was nothing there to move it. He said, “Everyone broke out in confusion.” He never found an explanation for this, but he now says the prayer every day, and nothing has happened since.

Why did this happen? Was the prayer related to something going on in his life without him realizing it? Will something happen again involving this prayer card? No one knows the answers to these questions, but whatever the explanation may be, according to Mr. Brogan, “I still say the prayer every day.”
