The 2025-2026 season has just begun for the Lumen Christi boys bowling team, and for many bowlers, it’s their first time competing. With the exit of several core members from last year’s senior class, there were only four returning bowlers. Five makes a team. Needless to say, the program was eager to find new, capable recruits to fill up the roster and build a competitive team.
After a successful recruiting phase, they were able to find four new bowlers with fresh attitudes and an eagerness for improvement. New members struggled at first to find their footing, but with time they’ve shown great promise and potential. Top scorer and senior leader Matt Dubois speaks on the rookie lineup, saying that “[insert quote here].”
The new bowlers had no trouble adapting to the team dynamic. Practices have a large social element between frames, which provides a perfect opportunity for team bonding. Sophomore rookie Nicholas Warriner had nothing but praise for the team culture. “It’s a good culture. I have been fitting in well, and the team is very welcoming.” His favorite part of bowling, he says, are the matches themselves. “I have the most fun at the matches, especially the actual bowling part. It’s a great game.”
While the bowling team certainly looks different than last year, its future is promising nonetheless. With a season ahead of them and an energetic attitude in their corner, things are looking good for LC bowling. Keep an eye out for this team, they’ll do great things!
