Rocky started running in third grade. His fastest mile was around a 7:45. He stopped running in fourth grade, but resumed his career again in fifth grade, running officially with a cross-country team at lumen Christi middle school team. He did summer runs, and then stopped running until sixth grade, when he started running middle school meets. He ran a 14:44 as his sixth grade pr. He ran the rest of middle school and got a 12:01 at the end of his eighth-grade year in the two-mile. He also ran track in 7th and 8th grade and improved a lot from 8th grade cross country season to 8th grade track season. He ran the two mile in track eighth grade year and moved down to a time of 11:11.1. After this, he started high school cross country. He ran a personal record of 17:58 in the 5k at lake view invitational. He then ran track in freshman year also and participated in the 2-mile race. He received a time of 10:32.35 at regionals. He also ran in the lumen Christi 4×8, but he says that it is not good enough to list the team’s times. In sophomore year, which he is currently in, he ran the race of his life at states for cross country.
