School Sees New Changes
You may have come to school and noticed some new changes as you walk around. Over the summer the school had some very nice renovations done to help improve our academic and athletic facilities. Thanks to very generous donations we are able to improve the school to make sure that we can achieve excellence in everything we do.
Let’s first take a look at the athletic renovations. At the end of the 2021-2022 year they started to reconstruct the baseball field. Now the field is finished and it looks beautiful! They put in new dugouts, new batting and pitching practice areas and even a locker room by the field. Senior Jackson Kramer said “I like the new field because it is better than most of the other fields.” Speaking of locker rooms the boys locker room in the gym was redone over the summer. A whole new set of sit-in lockers were put in to make sure the players have a good environment before, during, and after the games.
Another big focus over the summer to get done was bathrooms. Last year they re-did the bathrooms in the commons and they look amazing. Over the summer they decided to redo the girls bathroom that is located by Mr. Iding’s room and the boys bathroom that is located across from the copy room. These renovations to the bathrooms are very nice and needed and the students appreciate them a lot. Senior Camy Crandall said “I like that all the doors lock and it is very clean.” If you take a walk over to the football field you may notice a new building. Well that would be a new outdoor bathroom that will be useful for tennis, soccer, baseball, track, and football games.
Last but not least the beautiful new science wing. They renovated four science classrooms completely. They put in new cabinets, flooring, desks, and chairs. Making them a great learning environment for students. Now it is so exciting for students to go into the new rooms and learn all about science! Mrs. Bowden who teaches Physics, Human Phys., and Environmental Science says, “I love the versatility of the new furniture because you can do labs and also class work.”
