Annie Locke had a gymnastics meet last Saturday on December 2nd, 2023, at Holt High School. She competed all around, which is bars, vault, floor, and beam. Her favorite thing that she competed in was floor, because she likes to tumble, and her least favorite is bar because it is not her best event. She achieved regional qualifying scores on all events but bars. 

Unfortunately, Annie had a bad start to her morning. She was supposed to get up at 5:00 am and leave at 5:45 am; but she actually got up at 5:45, so she had to rush to get ready and zoom to gymnastics. Then, when she got to gymnastics, she said her coach was not there. This made her upset as all her rushing was all for nothing.

After her meet, Annie got on the bus and talked to her friend Maya about the school dance the day before and how she had so much fun, and her team JAG got 2nd out of 16 teams. She was so excited about her team’s success, but not about the long bus ride home.
