Honor Roll bag makes cross country trip

There is no obstacle too big to get Honor Roll bags to those who earned them.

Honor Roll bag makes cross country trip

The honor roll for semester 1 was released on Monday, February 7. Each student celebrated with their own snack bag. The snack bag consisted of a multitude of nutritious snacks. These included chocolate chip Rice Krispie treats, pretzels in a bag, and a berry juice.

As a member of said honor roll, I was pondering through the list of names and noticed one name that stuck out to me: Rylan Brady, my main man. Now how was someone in Texas supposed to get their honor roll snack bag all the way here in Michigan? Well that’s where a man named Jeff Putnam comes in. Jeff is a long-time friend of Rylan’s.

Jeff was in Jackson the morning of February 8 and had a flight to Dallas, Texas at 5 that afternoon. From Wichita Falls, the place Rylan lives, to Dallas, it is a little more than 2 hours of car driving. So Mr. Putnam drove to Lumen in the morning, signed Rylan’s name for an honor roll snack bag, took the bag on the plane, and made it to Dallas. This is when a lovely woman named Margie met Jeffery in Dallas. From there Margie drove the bag home to Wichita Falls and gave the bag to Rylan, in which he enjoyed. “You know, I was a bit surprised to get my honor roll bag, the treats were delish and it’s all thanks to Kavin, Jeffery Putnam, and Margie,” Brady said.
