The Angling Club has been a proud tradition for 15 years, led by Marty Powers since its start. Catering to those who love fishing, the club often visits Skiff Lake, a favorite spot for casting lines and making memories. However, membership has dropped to just three people this year—a big decline from its early days. Marty hopes to see more students join next year to keep the tradition alive and ensure future anglers can enjoy the sport together.

About the Contributor

My name is Kara LaMarre, and I’m a sophomore at Lumen Christi. I play volleyball and tennis, and I also know how to play the violin. One of my favorite summer activities is tubing on Clark Lake, especially on hot days. I have one sister who is a senior at Lumen. No matter the season, my favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends and go shopping.
