The regular season has officially come to a close in almost all of the fall sports here at Lumen. The JV football team ended their season with a big win over Division 1 Detroit Catholic Central, with a final score of 14-0. They ended off their season with a record of 8-1, with the only defeat to St. Francis of Traverse City. The varsity team also finished off with an 8-1 record, with a loss to Notre Dame Preparatory. Both teams won the CHSL championship, making it two years in a row, having only been in the league for two seasons. It’s officially playoff season, which means the JV’s have come up to join the varsity, and become one team. With the combining, the varsity team is now up to a total of 67 players on the varsity team. Although one might think they won’t do anything, the JV team plays a huge role in getting both the offense and defense ready for each game.
