Lumen Christi boys soccer hasn’t necessarily been a highlight of our school athletics. Winning just 2 games many people counted the team out. However, they improved drastically, winning 7 games including a playoff win. I had the privilege of interviewing Josh Vasquez, someone who played last year as well as this year, asking him how this team has improved. Josh played particularly well scoring 3 goals in the playoffs. When asked about the improvement, he gave much credit to freshman Dylan Ferreira. Dylan provided an immediate impact leading the team in goals and being a great offensive threat throughout the year. Josh also mentioned how the team chemistry has changed. This team loves each other and has a special bond. He implied that the trajectory of the team is going in a positive direction. Josh is just a positive guy and it shows on the field. Lc soccer is in a good place!
