Although it didn’t end how they wanted, the Lumen Christi girls cross country team had nothing to hang their head about. Coming off of a state championship last year and losing a couple key runners does hurt. However they still won multiple meets and finished top 3 in almost all of them. They were regional champions and had a lot of success this year. They finished 9th at states and that is nothing to hang your head about. They battled through some injuries to some of their top runners but pushed through to have a great season.
Overall it was a great year for the team and they left it all out on the course. They will be losing a couple of senior runners who gave it all they had for this program and are great role models for the younger runners. They left a great example and they should be even better next year.
