Christmas in Two Acts
The cast has been chosen for the play beginning November 30.
The fall play will debut on November 30 and December 1 and 2. But what is it about? We got some insider information from some actresses themselves to inform everyone about the play. Sophomore Michaela Powell says, when asked what the play is about, “So, there’s two story lines for two plays. The first play is about the host telling the story of Christmas and everyone keeps getting it wrong. The second play is about Amanda trying to put on the best pageant and beating the other church and they all realize the true joys of Christmas. It all comes together in a merry, joyful way and everyone learns the joy of Christmas spirit.” She plays the roles of Momma and Linda. She says if you’re considering coming to the play, “you’re in for a treat because it’s going to be hilarious.” She enjoys the play because she gets to make new friends and continue to have fun with her friends made in past years.
Emma Maki, playing the role of Ruth, loves plays. She has been in plays since she was 8 years old and continues to participate in many plays. She likes the ones at Lumen because there is always a smaller cast so everyone gets to know each other very well. She said she would tell people that are considering coming that, “You will definitely enjoy it and it will make you feel ready for the Christmas season!” This play is going to be a great one that you will not want to miss!! It will provide joys of the Christmas spirit and many laughs. Come show your support on November 3 and December 1 and 2 for all of these amazing students!
